My "once in five years whether I need it or not," trip to the Doctor.

So...I finally went to the Doc to treat the UTI that I had been trying(without success)to take care of myself for a week. I swallowed about 100 pills in various forms-echinacea, goldenseal, cranberry pills, Phytolacca decandra, vitamin C and three containers of straight cranberry juice. I calculated the calories just from the juice for one day and it totaled more than 1000. I can see it now...my book guiding male athletes on how to bulk up in a a healthy way-titled, "How to gain 20 pounds from sour fruit."
I told the nurse what I had, peed in a cup(an act I have perfected from my pregnancies) handed it in, sat down and waited on the doc. We know him personally and he is a super guy, so all went well until he prescribed the drug. I asked if it was safe for baby as I am not done nursing yet. He seemed confused for a sec and then went to find his book on the subject. It seemed that that it was safe after all, but there was a one in ten chance that it might not work. If that happens I would have to take one that isn't safe, so he asked if I pumped.
"I could pump if I needed to," I responded. He looked relieved and stated, "Good, you could just pump five days worth then." I didn't want to embarrass the poor man but alas, the milk faucet handle under my armpit that allows me to fill 45 bottles at once is broken. What to do, what to do.
