So I always have some kind of electronic/computer woe and now is no different. I really wanted it to be a little easier to post pics on my blog, so Jon bought a new camera for me for Christmas. Lo and behold, now the pic files are so large that somehow Noellie has to figure out a way to shrink each picture before loading it onto my blog. And while we are on that thought, somehow my blog settings have gotten screwed up and all my posted pics look like gibberish (I guess "they" call it code). I am very tired of being the least computer capable of all my friend except Audi (love you girl) and to those who follow my life closely, you will agree that the amount of software issues in my life do seem to be a bit more than everyone else...
So I was sitting here thinking how sad it is that I haven't blogged and how many pictures I would love to share but can't, when it hit me. I can still write!!!! So far, there doesn't seem to be a single impediment to the keyboard info traveling through the tiny cords into my computers brain! Hurray!!!!!!! So here are a few updates.
We had adopted a baby cow when it's mommy abandoned it, but it died three weeks later. Heartbreaking.
We are hardcore into the raised bed thing and our garden is beautiful! Someday I will post the pics. Our orchard is a source of pride to me with peach and apple trees, blackberry bushes, blueberry bushes and muscadine vines.
We will be getting chickens sometime in June I think, Pop and I are building the chicken coop because Jon will be working full time on the Whitney cottage, where Natalie and Doug will live(on our property) when it is finished. We are trying to build as much of it as we can with free recycled things. It will be a challenge and I am really not sure how long it will take, but then it will be done and hopefully when Dad retires, they can relocate here for a year or two while they figure out the next move. Dreams, but you have to have them right? Finn is growing so fast and surprisingly to me, out of all the kids he actually sings as a baby! He currently croons with us to the soundtrack of Mamma Mia! His favorite track being "Money Money."
Hysterical.
Bren is now eight and we are having a little mountain biking party for her tomorrow...there suddenly seems to be a 70% chance of rain. If so I am just going to rent a movie and make some popcorn. I will be working on getting pictures up and running because I have such cute ones to show everyone! I hope everybody is doing well, and I will be posting even if it just writing. G'night.
YAY!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see you're going to be posting again. I love reading your thoughts. Literally. ;-)
