Never thinking of the danger ahead...

So Jon will post his story(because there was one!) soon, but I wanted to show everybody some of the things we have done this week. Last Sunday, Jon and I went kayaking and I of course flipped mine almost immediately. I grew up using a canoe and am not used to a kayak, so when I was "perfectly" manouevering through a tight spot, the nose got hung on a log on one side, the back flipped around and the mighty rushing torrents quickly filled my kayak and dumped me into the river. I barely survived. Actually I quickly regained my composure and stood up in the 18 inch water. Good sport that I am I continued down the river occasionally crashing into the grassy banks of doom and destruction. I also had to defend the my kayak fortress from several spiders and angry death ants that fell on top of me seeking to conquer and destroy. I prevailed and will willingly go again very soon!
