Well, what a weekend! Jon worked as usual on Saturday and I was prepared to wake up Sunday morning, get the girls ready for church, sing with Jon's dad and teach my Sunday school class. I woke up Sunday morning with a sore throat, but I sang anyway and taught class. Sunday night I felt terrible! I called Jon and left a message asking him to come home early. He didn't get the message, but he had a feeling that he needed to come home early. Thank you Lord. On Monday I didn't feel good, but I was relieved that we didn't have to do anything all day. Then we got a call from Nana, telling us that someone wanted to come look at our house. AAAAHHHH! Jon and I got busy even though I didn't feel well and we finished almost everything. On Tuesday I woke up still running a fever, and Maggie was up at 6:45...A.M.! I also received two three phone calls before 7:30, and then Nana called and told me that the guys were coming to do the carport. So much for rest! We managed to get everything perfect by 4:30 (they were coming at 5:00) and went to Nana and Pop's house for steak and potatoes. While visiting I was almost attacked by a field mouse in the kitchen and our dog Charlie bit their dog Tilly. The dinner was excellent though. Lifegroup was good and we came home to a perfect house aaaaahh. Jon and I were commenting that we rarely have a free day together like we would on Wednesday and the house was already so clean! Brennah came out of her room and told us that her stomach hurt so we put her to bed in our room and checked on her several times during the movie. When it was time to go to bed, I went to check again and she had thrown up everywhere. She had not woken up so I picked her up and took her to the bathroom where she threw up again. I bathed her while Jon stripped the bed, she slept between us and got sick one more time in the middle of the night, and once today.
So my Wednesday is over, and it has been a good if not relaxing day. For dinner I made Rita's famous "labor inducing, dialation causing, energy for pushing, delicious while you're crowning, crazy colostrum building, chicken and dumpling soup." It was delicious. I am hoping that Brennah and I both will feel better tommorrow and that no one else will get this. Maggie asked me if I thought that she was funny while hanging on the treadmill tonight (Grammy has given her permission to do this) and I told her, "not really honey," She looked at me, smiled and said "Maybe so mommy, maybe so..." Last night on the way to Tyler and Rita's house I told both of the girls that I loved them so much my heart hurt sometimes. Brennah, trying to one-up me said with an angelic smile, "I love you and Daddy so much that sometimes it makes me sick." Maybe all of this was just an extreme example of her love for me... it warms the heart.
Thanks for all the wonderful information but I will pass on the love it makes me sick stuff and eat the chicken and dumpling. I remember how good that was! We can't say enough thank yous for working on the Hill house, guys. Will be fun to have you out here though.
